Grimsby, ON – On Thursday, May 15, from 4 to 8 PM, the Downtown Grimsby BIA invites you to the Moms Buy Local edition of Ladies Night. No purchases are necessary, simply fill your bingo card by visiting participating businesses for a chance to win a $500 gift certificate to the participating location of your choice. Enjoy event-only specials and Canadian-made products as you explore the heart of Downtown Grimsby and support your community. 

“At a time when supporting local and buying Canadian has never been more important, this Ladies Night celebrates the everyday choices that make a big impact,” says Christine Kempf, Board Member and event organizer. “It’s a fun way to bring people together, highlight our amazing downtown businesses, and show appreciation for our community. We hope to see you there!” 

Guests will receive a bingo card listing all stops, available at any participating location. As they explore downtown, they’ll collect stamps at each stop, no purchase necessary. Once completed, cards can be dropped off at the final business visited and entered into a draw to win a $500 gift card. Meanwhile, shops and eateries throughout the area will be offering exclusive event-only promotions, themed treats and drinks, and local products, making for a vibrant evening full of local flavour and fun.

Get ready to hop into Easter fun at Hoppin’ Around Downtown, a free community event presented by the Downtown Grimsby BIA! Taking place on Saturday, April 19th, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, this exciting event invites families to enjoy a festive Easter Egg Hunt, family-friendly activities, and a chance to explore the wonderful businesses that make Downtown Grimsby unique. 

Families can embark on an Easter Egg Hunt by visiting participating businesses to collect Easter treats while discovering everything Downtown Grimsby has to offer. The fun continues throughout downtown, with activities planned for all ages!

Easter Egg Hunt: Bring your Easter baskets to collect treats from participating local businesses. Just hop on up to the cashier!

Cookie Decorating: Sweet fun thanks to Pie in the Sky Farm Market.

Bouncy Castle & Giant Games: Enjoy classic games and a bouncy castle for endless fun. 

Face Painting: Little ones can get into the Easter spirit with festive face painting, available from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, free of charge! 

Easter Bunny Meet & Greet: The Easter Bunny will be hopping around Downtown Grimsby, ready to meet families and pose for photos with you!  

“This event is a fantastic way for families to come together, celebrate Easter, and support our local businesses,” said Simon Duong, Chair of the Downtown Grimsby BIA. “We’re excited to bring this free community event to life and create a fun day for everyone to enjoy.” 

Local businesses are key to making this event a success! Participating businesses will be distributing treats and showcasing their offerings, including:

Supporting Pumpkin Acres Rabbit Rescue: 

Hoppin’ Around Downtown is also an opportunity to give back! Ruffin’s Pet Centre will be accepting donations for Pumpkin Acres Rabbit Rescue, including monetary donations, fleece blankets, baby blankets, towels, food/water bowls, litter boxes, bunny-safe toys, small animal bedding (Carefresh, Fresh 4 Life), and Timothy hay.
